As Usual, American League Wins All-Star Game

Seemingly on cue, the MLB All-Star game ended with the American League obtaining home field advantage in the World Series. National League teams have yet to win the All-Star game since MLB Commissioner Bud Selig declared the winner would have home field advantage in the World Series. By losing to the AL, the NL is now 0-6 since the rule was instated.

This season's game was a disappointment in terms of exciting offense, as the final score was 4-3, without a home run being hit. Jonathan Papelbon pitched the 7th inning, and almost gave up the AL's 4-3 lead. It took a Carl Crawford defensive gem to save the lead, as he robbed a potential home run.
